My friend is involved in selling" the scrap rails and has sent quite a bit of money already to the man in Nigeria who has said he has permsission to sell the steel. Are you saying that you feel this is a scam or not. I really need any info you have before it goes any further.

that is a fraud.
The Nigerian government has suspended the scrab sales right now.
Do not send to them any money, there is no purchase permit or taxes. Do not go there, you can be in danger. I am talking from my own experience

This is a fraud.

Do not send money, stop communications with them and inform to the Nigerian embassy.

Do not go there, we had a very bad experience in Nigeria. We visited the Railway corporation, we saw the material, but it was a fraud.

Fortunately we could leave the country with lies. Because if you reveal there your problem you can have problems with immigration
