Here is yet an another online scammer who is washed out of RecycleinME.com. “Alamak Espana Trade Sl’ was registered in our portal on 10/21/2009 . Now we have received three complaints on this company. All the three complaints are same in nature. They will sign the contract and ask you to open the LC. Once the LC is opened they will take the money against the forged document without making any shipment. You can see the complaint we have received below:-

We came across a company named Alamak Espana Trade Sl in Spain. This company is absolute scammer. We ordered 600 mt of rail road scrap from them. We issued LC to them right after filling up the ordering form. They sent us pictures and promised to ship us the goods but after waiting for over two months and lot of emails exchanged, they said the scarp was loan on the ships and was coming over to Hong Kong on mid February. They informed their bank to claim our LC with fake documents like SGS report, shipping document etc. Our bank received the release instruction and checked with all the documents, right after verification of all the documents our bank told us all the documents was fake. Our bank charged us the LC cost as well as $60000 HKD legal fees to stop the counter party bank to claim the money!!! I still have all the scaned copy of the documents and what should we do now. Is there anyway we can claim this money back??? We already suffer of losing the buyer and we just don't know what to do now.

Though Everything Recycled & Ex-im.co.ltd enjoyed all the benefits of RecyclinME (posting offers and receiving large number of responses) they claimed for refund of the registration charges. RecycleinME refunded the registration charges as they where within the money back period. It is clear that Everything Recycled & Ex-im.co.ltd has tried to spam our portal which was not possible. Hence they claimed a refund from RecycleinME. Moreover, Everything Recycled & Ex-im.co.ltd is a Non-US unverified paypal member and the registration charge for basic membership was done through unauthorized payment method (using the mail address kay_and16@yahoo.com , which is different from the email address “ez2link2000@yahoo.com” provided in the profile at RIM). Owing to all the above mentioned reasons, Everything Recycled & Ex-im.co.ltd is moved to the suspicious lists of RecycleinME.

This is regarding a fraud scrap trader “Orange Metals. This company has earlier done the trade through RecycleinME. RecycleinME’s team of Scam fighters found out the fraudulent deals done by this company. There were several complaints from other scrap traders about Orange Metals. Here are some complaints we received about Orange Metals:

Abmec Logistics Usa was registered in Recycleinme as located in Sierra Leone. However, they have made inquiries to the offers and companies with wrong contact details in the description. Ie. The contact details provided in the description entirely mismatches with one which they provided in their profile at recycleinME. Moreover, we have already requested the company ‘Orange Metals’ not to register in our portal as we are frequently receiving complaints about them. RecycleinME has taken actions against “Orange Metals” by canceling the registration and moving Orange metals to the suspicious lists. Despites all the warnings given, Orange Metals continued to register at RecycleinME using different identities. RecycleinME’s team of expert scam finders discovered this and deleted the registration more than three times (This was discovered as Orange Metals used the same email address for making the payment through pay pal for all the registrations). RecycleinME has cancelled all the registrations of Orange Metals and refunded the registration charges and released them from the suspicious lists as they promised not to register again at RIM.. The dispute was cleaned before a few months. Finally Orange Metals has registered again at RecycleinME. This time they have used the company name as “Sunshine Auto Metals”. Moreover this company has registered in RIM as it is based in United States but the login ip217.113.81.153 (LR) is of Liberia. RIM team confirmed that “Sunshine Auto Metals” is same as “Orange metals” by verifying the paypal transaction (This time too they have used the same email address (lea@orangemetalrhosdeisland.con) in paypal). Hence RIM has moved “Orange Metals/ Sunshine Auto Metals” to the suspicious list again. “Orange Metals” will never be released from the suspicious lists as this will help many traders around the Globe to avoid disputes with this scammer. African scrap metal scams

The idea of this blog is to avoid Scam offers on the internet especially from the African scammers which includes Nigeria, Ghana, Ivorycoast etc. These culprits have cheated a good number of people by offering scrap metals and other commodities at unbelievable rates.. From my experience as an administrator of a few B2b portals which deal mainly in scrap I have received more than 30 complaints between 2005 and now which involves more than 300,000 $ . Some have got their money back by legal action, but most of the scammers slip away.

The modus operandi of these criminals is to contact scrap buyers on the online marketplaces and offer them scrap at 1/4th rates. For eg. if the market rate is 200$/ton, these guys offer it for 50 . They claim to have influence in the ministry and can arrange huge volumes like a million ton of scrap. Once the buyer takes the bait, they will ask for an initial amount to take care of the formalities. It would be anything from 3000$ to 10000$. They will ask the buyers to wire them the money and they dont encourage any bank or 3rd party. Some of them are content with the money and disappear while some others even forge the shipping documents and get the freight charges and disappear..

So who is the victim of the scammers.. Buyers who are greedy and after quick money fall for the scams.
